PSYCHIATRIC CARE

PDs are susceptible to pharmacological treatment in those cases that, due to the severity or intensity of the disorder, need it at the same time as a psychotherapeutic approach is made. Requiring an individualized treatment plan that avoids chronic treatments, since they can present periods of time in which the symptoms flare up and periods in which it is less.

Pharmacological treatment can be considered as an adjunct to a psychotherapeutic or psychosocial intervention to improve some of its characteristic symptoms. In that case, the referral will be made to professionals who collaborate with the association.
